Jake Marisnick, outfielder for the Atlanta Braves, was originally drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2009. After two years in the Blue Jays' minor league system, they traded him to the Miami Marlins in November, 2012.

Marisnick joined the Marlins for 40 games in 2013. He batted just .183 with 20 hits during that time. On July 31, 2014, the Marlins traded him to the Houston Astros. In 14 games with the Marlins and 51 games with the Astros in 2014, he had 55 hits and a .249 batting average.

Marisnick played in 133 games with the Astros in 2015. He finished the season with 80 hits, 15 doubles, 24 stolen bases, 36 RBIs, and a .236 batting average. Defensively, as a center fielder in 99 games, he made 202 putouts and 3 errors. He batted .429 in 7 at-bats in 4 postseason games and he had 3 hits, including a double.

Marisnick became a free agent on October 28, 2020. He signed with the Chicago Cubs on February 20, 2021. He was traded to the San Diego Padres on July 30, 2021. He spent time on the IL in 2021 with a hamstring strain. He finished the season with 38 hits and a .216 batting average in 65 games with the Cubs and 34 games with the Padres.

Marisnick became a free agent on November 5, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on March 14, 2022, and he was released on April 5th. He signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 7th, and played with them until he was released on August 7th. He signed a minor league contract with the Braves on August 30th.
