Jefry Marte, infielder, first signed with the New York Mets in July, 2007. He played in the Mets' minor league system from 2008 through 2012. In December, 2012, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics. He then continued in the minor leagues through the 2014 season.

As a minor league player from 2008 through 2014, Marte had 661 hits, 130 doubles, 303 RBIs, and 497 strikeouts to 225 walks in 687 games. Defensively, at third base, he made 1,092 assists, 111 double plays, 323 putouts, and 168 errors.

Marte signed with the Detroit Tigers on November 17, 2014. He hit his first major league home run on July 8, 2015. He spent most of the 2015 season in the minors, playing in just 33 games with the Tigers.

Marte was traded to the Los Angeles Angels on January 27, 2016. He finished the 2016 season with 65 hits, 14 doubles, 15 home runs, 44 RBIs, and a .252 batting average in 88 games with the Angels. Defensively, he played 29 games at first base, 22 games at third base, and 27 games in left field.

In 2017, Marte spent time on the DL and in the minors, limiting his time with the Angels to 45 games.

Marte spent time on the DL with a left wrist sprain in 2018. He finished the season with 42 hits and a .216 batting average in 90 games. Defensively, as a first baseman in 71 games, he made 33 assists, 35 double plays, 335 putouts, and 3 errors.

Marte became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He played in Japan from 2019 through 2021.
