Jesus Sucre, catcher, was originally signed by the Atlanta Braves in 2005. He played in the Braves' minor league system from 2006 through July 14, 2011, when they released him. Five days later, he signed with the Seattle Mariners.

Sucre continued to play in the minor leagues through most of 2014, joining the Mariners for just 8 games in 2013 and 21 games in 2014. As a minor leaguer from 2006 through 2014, he batted .254 with 522 hits, 91 doubles, 206 RBIs, and 260 strikeouts to 100 walks. Defensively, as a catcher in 532 games, he made 478 assists, 3,844 putouts, and 53 errors. He caught players trying to steal an impressive 42% of the time and he had a .988 fielding percentage.

Sucre played in 52 games with the Mariners in 2015. He batted .157 with 20 hits. As a catcher in 50 games, he made 28 assists, 349 putouts, and 3 errors. He caught players trying to steal 50% of the time and he had a .992 fielding percentage.

Sucre spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, playing in just 9 games with the Mariners.

Sucre was designated for assignment on January 26, 2017. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on February 8, 2017. He had 45 hits and a .256 batting average in 63 games with the Rays in 2017.

Sucre played in 73 games in 2018. He finished the season with 38 hits and a .209 batting average. Defensively, as the Rays' catcher in 71 games, he made 497 putouts and 2 errors. He caught players trying to steal 29.7% of the time and he had a .996 fielding percentage.

Sucre became a free agent on November 5, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on February 5, 2019. He spent most of the 2019 season in the minors, playing in just 20 games with the Orioles.

Sucre became a free agent on October 11, 2019. He played in the Venezuelan Winter League and in the Caribbean Series in 2020. He played in the independent Atlantic League and the Venezuelan Winter League in 2021.
