Luis Sardinas, infielder, was first signed by the Texas Rangers in 2009. He played in the Rangers' minor league system through part of 2014, joining the team for 43 games that season. He had 30 hits and a .261 batting average with the Rangers in 2014.

On January 19, 2015, the Rangers traded Sardinas to the Milwaukee Brewers. He played in just 36 games in the major leagues in 2015, spending the rest of the time in the minors.

Sardinas was traded to the Seattle Mariners on November 20, 2015. The Mariners traded him to the San Diego Padres on August 15, 2016. He finished the 2016 season with a .244 batting average in 32 games with the Mariners and 34 games with the Padres. Defensively, he played at all four infield positions and in left field (one game). He also pitched in one game.

The Padres designated Sardinas for assignment on May 22, 2017. He was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles on May 24th. He spent the 2017 season in the minors.

Sardinas spent most of the 2018 season in the minors and on the DL with a lower back strain. He played in just eight games with the Orioles.

Sardinas became a free agent on October 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on March 13, 2019. He spent the 2019 season on the DL and in the minors.

Sardinas became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He rejoined the Nationals on a new minor league contract on January 8, 2020. He was released on May 29, 2020. He played in the Venezuelan Winter League and in the Caribbean Series in 2020.

Sardinas played in the Mexican League and the Venezuelan Winter League in 2021.
