Manny Banuelos, pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, was originally signed by the New York Yankees in 2008. He played in the Yankees' minor league system from 2008 through 2012.

In 2013, Banuelos had Tommy John surgery and he missed the entire 2013 season. He returned to the Yankees' minor league system in 2014. As a minor leaguer, he pitched 470.2 innings in 119 games and he had a 3.31 ERA with a 21-24 record and 462 strikeouts to 188 walks.

Banuelos was traded to the Atlanta Braves on January 1, 2015. He spent time on the DL in 2015 with a bone spur problem. On September 17th, he had surgery. He pitched just 26.1 innings in 7 games with the Braves, spending the rest of the time in the minor leagues (17 games) and on the DL.

The Braves released Banuelos on August 15, 2016. Three days later, he signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels. He spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons in the minors.

Banuelos became a free agent on November 6, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on November 14th. He spent the entire 2018 season in the minors.

The Dodgers traded Banuelos to the Chicago White Sox on November 1, 2018. He spent time on the DL in 2019 with left shoulder injuries. He finished the season with 3 wins and 4 losses, 44 strikeouts to 33 walks, and a 6.93 ERA in 50.2 innings in 16 games.

Banuelos became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners on February 11, 2020. He was released on May 28, 2020. He then signed with a Chinese team and played in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Banuelos played in China, the Mexican League, and the Mexican Pacific Winter League in 2021.

Banuelos signed a minor league contract with the Yankees on March 13, 2022. He was traded to the Pirates on July 3rd.
