Matt den Dekker, retired outfielder, was drafted by the New York Mets in 2010. He played in the Mets' minor league system from 2010 through most of 2014, first joining the Mets in 2013 for 27 games. As a minor leaguer, he batted .289 with 511 hits, 119 doubles, 252 RBIs, and 460 strikeouts to 159 walks in 466 games. Defensively, he made 984 putouts and 12 errors in 446 games in center field.
In 2014, den Dekker played in 53 games with the Mets. He had 38 hits, 11 doubles, 7 stolen bases, and a .250 batting average. Defensively, he played 18 games in center field, 28 games in left field, and 1 game in right field.
