Matt Wisler, pitcher, was first drafted in 2011 by the San Diego Padres. He pitched in the Padres' minor league system from 2011 through 2014. During that time, he had a 25-15 record and 380 strikeouts to 105 walks in 396.2 innings in 79 games.
Wisler was traded to the Atlanta Braves on April 5, 2015. He pitched in both the Braves' starting rotation and from their bullpen in 2015. He finished the season with an 8-8 record, 72 strikeouts to 40 walks, and a 4.71 ERA in 109.0 innings in 20 games.
In 2016, Wisler had a 5.00 ERA in 27 games with the Braves. He finished the season with 7 wins to 13 losses, 1 save, and 115 strikeouts to 49 walks in 156.2 innings.
Wisler spent time in the minors in 2017. He was primarily a relief pitcher for the Braves, pitching 32.1 innings in 1 game as a starter and 19 games in relief. He finished the season with an 8.35 ERA.
