Mike Fiers, starting pitcher for the Houston Astros, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2009. He pitched in the Brewers' minor league system from 2009 through part of 2011, joining the Brewers for two games in 2011.

In 2012, Fiers pitched in 23 games with the Brewers. He finished the season with a 3.74 ERA and a 9-10 record in 127.2 innings. He split his time in 2013 and 2014 between the Brewers and the minor leagues. In 2013, he pitched 22.1 innings in 11 games with Milwaukee and in 2014, he pitched 71.2 innings in 14 games.
