Mike Fiers, starting pitcher, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2009. He pitched in the Brewers' minor league system from 2009 through part of 2011, joining the Brewers for two games in 2011.

In 2012, Fiers pitched in 23 games with the Brewers. He finished the season with a 3.74 ERA and a 9-10 record in 127.2 innings. He split his time in 2013 and 2014 between the Brewers and the minor leagues. In 2013, he pitched 22.1 innings in 11 games with Milwaukee and in 2014, he pitched 71.2 innings in 14 games.

As a minor leaguer, Fiers played in 131 games from 2009 through 2014. He had a 2.92 ERA with a 35-26 record and 582 strikeouts to 137 walks in 536.2 innings.

Fiers was traded to the Houston Astros on July 30, 2015. He pitched a no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 21st. In nine innings, he had 10 strikeouts and 3 walks. He finished the 2015 season with a 7-10 record, 180 strikeouts to 64 walks, and a 3.69 ERA in 21 games with the Brewers and 10 games with the Astros. He pitched one inning in the postseason and he gave up one hit and one run.

In 2016, Fiers had a 4.48 ERA in 31 games with the Astros. He finished the season with 11 wins to 8 losses and 134 strikeouts to 42 walks in 168.2 innings.

Fiers finished the 2017 season with 8 wins and 10 losses, 146 strikeouts to 62 walks, and a 5.22 ERA in 153.1 innings in 29 games. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

Fiers elected free agency on December 1, 2017. He signed with the Detroit Tigers on December 8, 2017. He was traded to the Oakland Athletics on August 6, 2018. He finished the 2018 season with 12 wins and 8 losses, 139 strikeouts to 37 walks, and a 3.56 ERA in 172.0 innings in 21 games with the Tigers and 10 games with the Athletics.

Fiers finished the 2019 season with 15 wins and 4 losses, 126 strikeouts to 53 walks, and a 3.90 ERA in 184.2 innings in 33 games. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

Fiers pitched in 11 games in 2020. He finished the season with 6 wins and 3 losses, 37 strikeouts to 16 walks, and a 4.58 ERA in 59.0 innings. In the postseason, he pitched 1.2 innings in 1 game, and he had an ERA of 5.40.

Fiers spent time on the IL in 2021 with a sprained right elbow. He pitched just 9.1 innings in 2 games with the Athletics.

Fiers became a free agent on November 3, 2021. He signed with a Mexican League team on March 30, 2022.
