Noah Syndergaard, starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was originally drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2010. After pitching in the Blue Jays' minor league system for three years, he was traded to the New York Mets in December, 2012. He continued in the minors through 2014.

As a minor league pitcher from 2010 through 2014, Syndergaard had an impressive 31-19 record and 474 strikeouts to 124 walks in 94 games.

Syndergaard joined the Mets for 24 games in 2015 and he had a strong first season in the major leagues. He finished the season with a 9-7 record, 166 strikeouts to 31 walks, and a 3.24 ERA in 150.0 innings. In 4 postseason games, he pitched 19.0 innings and he gave up 15 hits and 7 runs. He struck out 26 batters and walked 8 and he had a 3.32 ERA.
