Patrick Corbin, starting pitcher for the Washington Nationals, was first drafted in 2009 by the Los Angeles Angels. A year later, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks. He pitched in the minor leagues from 2009 through part of 2012. During that time, he had a 31-16 record and 404 strikeouts to 111 walks in 430.2 innings in 80 games.

Corbin joined the Diamondbacks for 22 games in 2012. He finished the season with a 4.54 ERA and a 6-8 record in 107.0 innings.
