Steve Delabar, retired relief pitcher, was first drafted in 2002 by the Los Angeles Angels but he didn't sign with them. A year later, he signed with the San Diego Padres. He played in the Padres' minor league system from 2004 until May, 2008, when they released him. In 2009, he pitched with an independent team in the minors.

Delabar fractured his elbow and had surgery in 2009. He didn't play baseball at all in 2010. Instead, he became a substitute teacher and an assistant high school baseball coach.

In April, 2011, Delabar signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners. He spent most of the 2011 season in the minor leagues, pitching just 7.0 innings in 6 games with the Mariners. After 34 games with the Mariners in 2012, they traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays on July 30th. At the time, he had a 4.17 ERA. He then pitched out of the Blue Jays' bullpen in 27 games and finished his time with them with a 3.38 ERA.

Delabar had a decent season as a relief pitcher for the Blue Jays in 2013. He pitched 58.2 innings in 55 games and he finished with a 5-5 record and a 3.22 ERA. In 2014, he pitched just 25.2 innings and he finished with a disappointing 4.91 ERA.

Delabar pitched in 31 games with the Blue Jays in 2015. He finished the season with a 2-0 record, 1 save, 30 strikeouts to 14 walks, and a 5.22 ERA in 29.1 innings.

The Blue Jays released Delabar on March 29, 2016. He signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds on April 2nd. He spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, pitching just 8.0 innings in 7 games with the Reds.

Delabar signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on January 13, 2017. He was released on July 5, 2017. He didn't play professional baseball in 2017.

Delabar signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on January 4, 2018. After five games in the minors in 2018, he was released on April 20th.

Delabar retired in February, 2019.
