Taylor Teagarden, catcher, was first drafted in 2005 by the Texas Rangers. He played in the Rangers' minor league system from 2005 through most of 2008. He joined the Rangers for 16 games in 2008 and he hit his first major league hit, a home run, on July 20th.

In 2009, Teagarden, who has spent most of his career in the minor leagues, played in a career high 60 games in the majors. He finished with a .217 batting average and 43 hits. As a catcher in all 60 games, he made 31 assists, 360 putouts, and 6 errors. He caught players trying to steal 38.3% of the time and he had a .985 fielding percentage.

Teagarden spent most of the 2010 and 2011 seasons in the minor leagues. The Rangers traded him to the Baltimore Orioles in December, 2011. He spent most of 2012 on the DL with a back injury, joining the Orioles for just 22 games. The following season, he had a dismal .167 batting average in 23 games with the Orioles and they designated him for assignment on September 1, 2013.

Teagarden signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets in January, 2014. He again found himself back in the minor leagues in 2014, playing in just nine games with the Mets.

On January 10, 2015, Teagarden signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs. He spent most of the 2015 season in the minors, playing in just eight games with the Cubs.

Teagarden became a free agent on October 30, 2015. He received an 80-game suspension for the use of PEDs on April 1, 2016. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2015.
