Tim Cooney, pitcher, was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2012. He pitched in 65 games in their minor league system from 2012 through 2014.

Cooney played in just six games with the Cardinals in 2015. In 31.1 innings, he had a 3.16 ERA. He also pitched in 14 games in the minors.

Cooney spent the 2016 season on the DL. He was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Indians on November 18, 2016. The Indians released him on April 2, 2017. He pitched in just four games in the minors in 2017. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2017.
