Aaron Blair, pitcher, started playing little league baseball at the age of four. In 2010, he was drafted by the Houston Astros but he decided instead to play for Marshall University. Three years later, he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Blair pitched in the Diamondbacks' minor league system from 2013 through 2015. In 363.0 innings in 64 games, he had 23 wins to 13 losses and 332 strikeouts to 118 walks.
Blair was traded to the Atlanta Braves on December 9, 2015. He split his time in 2016 between the Braves and the minors. In 15 games with the Braves, he had a 7.59 ERA, 2 wins to 7 losses, and 46 strikeouts to 34 walks in 70.0 innings.
Blair spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 3.0 innings in 1 game with the Braves.
After just one game in the minors in 2018, the Braves released Blair on May 31st. He didn't play professional baseball in 2019.
Blair returned to the Diamondbacks on a minor league contract on February 12, 2020. He was released on May 22nd. He played with an independent league team in 2020.
Blair started the 2021 season in the independent Atlantic League, playing in just one game with them. He signed with the San Francisco Giants on July 20th, and played nine games in their minor league system. He elected free agency on November 7, 2021.
