Aaron Blair, pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, started playing little league baseball at the age of four. In 2010, he was drafted by the Houston Astros but he decided instead to play for Marshall University. Three years later, he was drafted by the Diamondbacks.

Blair pitched in the Diamondbacks' minor league system from 2013 through 2015. In 363.0 innings in 64 games, he had 23 wins to 13 losses and 332 strikeouts to 118 walks.

Blair was traded to the Braves on December 9, 2015. He split his time in 2016 between the Braves and the minors. In 15 games with the Braves, he had a 7.59 ERA, 2 wins to 7 losses, and 46 strikeouts to 34 walks in 70.0 innings.
