Adam Conley, starting pitcher, was first drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2008 but he opted instead to attend Washington State University. Three years later, he was drafted by the Miami Marlins. He pitched in the Marlins' minor league system from 2011 through part of 2015. In 86 games, he pitched 439.2 innings and he had a 3.52 ERA with a 34-21 win-loss record and 397 strikeouts to 148 walks.

Conley pitched with the Marlins in 15 games in 2015. He had a 4-1 record, 59 strikeouts to 21 walks, and a 3.76 ERA in 67.0 innings.

In 2016, Conley had a 3.85 ERA in 25 games with the Marlins. He finished the season with 8 wins and 6 losses and 124 strikeouts to 62 walks in 133.1 innings.

Conley finished the 2017 season with 8 wins and 8 losses, 72 strikeouts to 42 walks, and a 6.14 ERA in 102.2 innings in 22 games.

The Rays released Conley on November 10, 2021.
