Andy Burns, infielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was first drafted in 2008 by the Colorado Rockies but he didn't sign with them. Three years later, he signed with the Toronto Blue Jays. He played in the Blue Jays' minor league system from 2011 through most of 2016.

Burns joined the Blue Jays for 10 games in 2016. He spent the rest of the season in the minors. He was released by the Blue Jays on January 5, 2017. He played in Korea in 2017.

Burns didn't play professional baseball in 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays on February 28, 2019. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Burns didn't play professional baseball in 2020.

Burns became a free agent on November 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on December 16th. He was released by the Dodgers on July 20, 2021. He signed a minor league contract again with the Dodgers on September 10th. He played in just 9 games with the Dodgers in 2021. He spent most of the regular season in the minors. In the postseason, he had no hits in 2 at-bats in 2 games.
