Bobby Wilson, catcher, was first drafted in 2001 by the San Francisco Giants but he didn't sign with them. A year later, he signed with the Los Angeles Angels. He played in the Angels' minor league system from 2003 through most of 2008 and 2009, joining the Angels for 7 games in 2008 and 12 games in 2009.

In 2010, Wilson played in 40 games with the Angels. He batted .229 with 22 hits. The following season, he batted just .189 with 21 hits in 57 games. In 2012, he played in a career high 75 games and he had 36 hits and a .211 batting average.

Wilson was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays on October 22, 2012. A month later, he was granted free agency and he signed with the New York Yankees in December, 2012. He played in 66 games in the minors in 2013.

Wilson signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks in November, 2013. He played in just two games with the DBacks in 2014, spending the rest of the time back in the minors.

In December, 2014, Wilson signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. He stayed with them until July 31, 2015, when he was claimed off waivers by the Texas Rangers. He batted .189 with 25 hits in 2015 in 25 games with the Rays and 31 games with the Rangers.

Wilson was traded to the Detroit Tigers on March 29, 2016. He was traded back to the Rangers on May 3rd. He returned to the Rays on August 4th, when they claimed him off waivers. He finished the 2016 season with a .237 batting average in 5 games with the Tigers, 42 games with the Rangers, and 28 games with the Rays. Defensively, as a catcher in 75 games, he made 20 assists, 554 putouts, and 4 errors. He had a .993 fielding percentage and he caught players trying to steal 16.7% of the time.

Wilson became a free agent on November 16, 2016. He signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 3, 2017. He spent the 2017 season in the minors.

Wilson signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on November 30, 2017. After 47 games with the Twins in 2018, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs on August 24th. In addition to his games with the Twins, he spent time on the DL with a right ankle sprain and he played in 11 games in the minors. He didn't play with the Cubs.

Wilson became a free agent on October 29, 2018. He returned to the Tigers on a minor league contract on December 5, 2018. He spent most of the 2019 season in the minors and on the DL, playing in just 15 games with the Tigers.

Wilson became a free agent again on September 30, 2019. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2019.
