Brett Nicholas, retired catcher, was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 2010. He played in the Rangers' minor league system from 2010 through most of 2016.

Nicholas batted .275 in 15 games with the Rangers in 2016. He also played in 101 games in the minors.

Nicholas spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 21 games with the Rangers.

The Rangers traded Nicholas to the Padres on April 6, 2018. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Nicholas became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Colorado Rockies on November 19th. He was released by the Rockies on March 26, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox on April 4th. A month later, on May 6th, he retired.
