Daniel Castro, infielder, was signed by the Atlanta Braves in 2009. He played in the minor leagues from 2010 through most of 2015. In 333 games, he batted .269 with 313 hits, 126 RBIs, and 114 strikeouts to 78 walks. Defensively, as a shortstop, he made 691 assists, 129 double plays, 311 putouts, and 28 errors in 236 games.

Castro joined the Braves for 33 games in 2015. He had 23 hits, including 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 2 home runs.

In 2016, Castro's time was split between the minors and the Braves. He batted .200 in 47 games with the Braves. Defensively, he played 16 games at second base, 9 games at third base, and 20 games at shortstop.

Castro became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He signed a minor league contract with the Colorado Rockies on November 21st. He spent the 2017 season in the minors.
