Daniel Norris, starting pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, was first drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2011. He played in the Blue Jays' minor league system from 2012 through most of 2014 and half of 2015. In 79 games, he had a 19-23 record, 384 strikeouts to 148 walks, and a 4.08 ERA in 348.1 innings.
Norris joined the Blue Jays' for five games in 2014. He pitched from the starting rotation in one game and from the bullpen in four games and he had a 5.40 ERA in 6.2 innings.
Norris was traded to the Tigers on July 30, 2015, in the trade that sent David Price to the Blue Jays.
