Drew Hayes, relief pitcher, was first drafted in 2006 by the Arizona Diamondbacks but he didn't sign with them. Three years later, the Seattle Mariners drafted him but he opted to stay at Vanderbilt University. He signed with the Cincinnati Reds in 2010.

Hayes pitched in the Reds' minor league system from 2010 through 2016. In 309 games, he pitched 402.2 innings and he had a 3.46 ERA, 22-23 record, 33 saves, and 416 strikeouts to 211 walks.

In 2016, Hayes pitched 9.2 innings in 6 games with the Reds. He also pitched in 38 games in the minors.

Hayes became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He played in the Atlantic League in 2017. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2017.
