Enrique Burgos, relief pitcher, was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2007. He played in the minor leagues from 2008 through part of 2015. He was a starting pitcher until 2012, when he was moved to the bullpen. In 207 games, he pitched 388.0 innings and he had a 20-19 record, 61 saves, and 414 strikeouts to 266 walks.

Burgos joined the Diamondbacks for 30 games in 2015. He had 2 wins to 2 losses, 2 saves, 39 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a 4.67 ERA in 27.0 innings.

In 2016, Burgos pitched in 43 games with the Diamondbacks. He finished the season with a 5.66 ERA, 1 win and 2 losses, 1 save, and 43 strikeouts to 23 walks in 41.1 innings.

Burgos was traded to the Atlanta Braves on May 20, 2017. He played in the minors in 2017.

Burgos became a free agent on November 6, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers on December 5, 2017.

Burgos played with a Mexican League team in 2018 and 2019. He also played in the independent Atlantic League in 2019. He didn't play professional baseball in 2020.

Burgos played in the Mexican League, the Mexican Pacific Winter League, and the Caribbean Series in 2021.

Personal Life

Burgos' father, also named Enrique, pitched in the minor leagues from 1983 through 1995. He spent two years in the majors, 1993 with the Royals and 1995 with the Giants.
