Hunter Cervenka, retired relief pitcher, was first drafted in 2008 by the Boston Red Sox. He was traded to the Chicago Cubs on May 15, 2012. Three years later, on May 29, 2015, he was released by the Cubs. He signed with the Atlanta Braves on July 7, 2015.

Cervenka pitched in the minor leagues from 2009 through 2015. In 203 games, he pitched 380.0 innings and he had a 21-25 win-loss record, 11 saves, and 387 strikeouts to 252 walks.

Cervenka was traded to the Miami Marlins on August 6, 2016. He finished the 2016 season with a 3.53 ERA in 50 games with the Braves and 18 games with the Marlins. He had 1 win and no losses and 42 strikeouts to 28 walks in 43.1 innings.

Cervenka spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 4.2 innings in 5 games with the Marlins.

Cervenka signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on March 13, 2018. He was released on April 1st. He signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers on June 5th. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Cervenka became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on November 19, 2018. He was released on July 30, 2019. He returned to the Orioles on a minor league contract on August 7, 2019. He spent the 2019 season on the DL and in the minors.

Cervenka pitched just 4.2 innings in 5 games in 2020, and he had a 15.43 ERA. He was released by the Orioles on July 17, 2020.

Cervenka pitched in the independent Atlantic League in 2021. He retired on August 30, 2021.
