Jerad Eickhoff, pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, was first drafted in 2010 by the Chicago Cubs but he chose to continue playing college baseball. A year later, he was drafted by the Texas Rangers. He was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies on July 31, 2015.

Eickhoff played in the minor leagues from 2011 through part of 2015. In 117 games, he had a 4.14 ERA, a 44-27 win-loss record, and 475 strikeouts to 173 walks in 578.1 innings.

Eickhoff joined the Phillies for 8 games in 2015. He had a 3-3 record, 49 strikeouts to 13 walks, and a 2.65 ERA in 51.0 innings.

Eickhoff became a free agent again on November 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets on December 21st. He spent most of the 2021 season in the minors. In 19.2 innings in 5 games with the Mets, he had an 8.69 ERA.

Eickhoff became a free agent on October 6, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Pirates on November 28th.
