Jon Moscot, retired pitcher, was a top player at Pepperdine University when he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2012. He pitched in the Reds' minor league system from 2012 through part of 2015. In 77 games, he had a 19-29 record, 321 strikeouts to 128 walks, and a 3.65 ERA in 395.0 innings.

Moscot joined the Reds for 3 games in 2015. He had shoulder surgery on June 19th that ended his season. He spent most of the 2016 season on the DL and in the minors. He had Tommy John surgery on July 19th. He pitched 21.1 innings in 5 games with the Reds and he had an ERA of 8.02.

Moscot spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons on the DL, recovering from Tommy John surgery. He retired in May, 2019.

Personal Life

Moscot majored in sports medicine at Pepperdine University.

In 2006, when he was 13, Moscot had a minor role in the movie "The Benchwarmers."
