Josh Osich, relief pitcher, played for Oregon State University prior to being drafted. In 2010, he had Tommy John surgery and the following season, after a full recovery, he pitched a no-hitter against UCLA.

Osich was first drafted in 2010 by the Los Angeles Angels but he didn't sign with them. The following year, he signed with the San Francisco Giants. He played in the Giants' minor league system from 2012 through half of 2015. In 176.2 innings in 148 games, he had 37 saves, 182 strikeouts to 65 walks, and a 3.06 ERA.

In 2015, Osich pitched in 35 games from the Giants' bullpen. He had a 2.20 ERA in 28.2 innings.

Osich finished the 2016 season with a 4.71 ERA in 59 games with the Giants. He had 1 win and 3 losses and 25 strikeouts to 19 walks in 36.1 innings. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

In 2017, Osich had a 6.23 ERA in 54 games. He finished the season with 3 wins and 2 losses and 43 strikeouts to 27 walks in 43.1 innings.

Osich spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, playing in just 12 games with the Giants.

Osich was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles on February 19, 2019. He was designated for assignment on March 8, and three days later, he was claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox. He finished the 2019 season with 4 wins and no losses, 61 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a 4.66 ERA in 67.2 innings in 57 games.

The Boston Red Sox claimed Osich off waivers on October 31, 2019. He elected free agency on December 2nd, and two days later, the Red Sox signed him to a regular contract.

Osich was traded to the Chicago Cubs on August 31, 2020. He finished the season with 1 win and 1 loss and a 6.38 ERA in 18.1 innings in 13 games with the Red Sox and 4 games with the Cubs.

Osich became a free agent after the 2020 season. He signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds on December 21, 2020. After being sent to the minors on July 30, 2021, he elected free agency. In 17 games with the Reds, he had 2 wins and no losses, 1 save, and a 5.02 ERA in 14.1 innings.
