Justin Nicolino, pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds, was first drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2010. He was traded to the Miami Marlins in November, 2012. He pitched in the minor leagues from 2011 through part of 2015. He had a 45-21 win-loss record, 431 strikeouts to 113 walks, and a 2.81 ERA in 612.2 innings in 118 games.

Nicolino joined the Marlins starting rotation for 12 games in 2015. He had a 4.01 ERA, a 5-4 win-loss record, and 23 strikeouts to 20 walks in 74.0 innings.

In 2016, Nicolino had a 4.99 ERA in 13 games as a starter and 5 games in relief with the Marlins. He finished the 2016 season with 3 wins and 6 losses and 37 strikeouts to 20 walks in 79.1 innings.

Nicolino finished the 2017 season with 2 wins and 3 losses, 26 strikeouts to 20 walks, and a 5.06 ERA in 48.0 innings in 8 games as a starter and 12 games of relief.

The Reds claimed Nicolino off waivers on March 25, 2018. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Nicolino became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on February 6, 2019, and he was released on May 1st. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox on May 5th. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Nicolino became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He played in the Chinese Professional Baseball League in 2020. He played only in the Dominican Winter League in 2021.

Nicolino signed a minor league contract with the Reds on May 26, 2022.
