Kyle Ryan, relief pitcher, was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 2010. He pitched in their minor league system from 2010 through most of 2014, joining the Tigers for 6 games in 2014.

Ryan pitched 651.1 innings in 114 minor league games from 2010 through 2014. During that time, he had a 37-39 record and 438 strikeouts to 146 walks.

In 2015, Ryan pitched as both a starting pitcher and a relief pitcher for the Tigers. He finished the season with a 2-4 record, 30 strikeouts to 20 walks, and a 4.47 ERA in 56.1 innings in 16 games.

Ryan pitched only from the bullpen in 2016. In 56 games as a reliever for the Tigers, he had a 3.07 ERA, 4 wins to 2 losses, and 35 strikeouts to 15 walks in 55.2 innings.

Ryan spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 5.2 innings in 8 games with the Tigers.

Ryan elected free agency on November 6, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs on January 9, 2018. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Ryan finished the 2019 season with 4 wins and 2 losses, 58 strikeouts to 29 walks, and a 3.54 ERA in 61.0 innings in 73 games.

Ryan pitched in 18 games in 2020. He finished the season with 1 win and no losses, 1 save, and a 5.17 ERA in 15.2 innings.

Ryan elected free agency on August 17, 2021. He finished the season with a 6.75 ERA in 13.1 innings in 13 games with the Cubs. He also played in 19 games in the minors.

Ryan signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on November 19, 2021. He was released on August 24, 2022.
