Kyle Schwarber, outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies, was a top player at Indiana University when the Chicago Cubs drafted him in 2014. He played in the Cubs' minor league system in 2014 and half of 2015. In 147 games, he batted .333 with 173 hits, 102 RBIs, and 129 strikeouts to 88 walks. Defensively, he played 72 games as a catcher and 36 games in left field. He was the DH in 19 games.

Schwarber, with just a year and a half in the minors, was called up to the Cubs in 2015. In 69 games, he batted .246 with 57 hits, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 16 home runs, and 43 RBIs.
