Matt Reynolds, infielder for the Cincinnati Reds, was drafted by the New York Mets in 2012. He played in the Mets' minor league system from 2012 through part of 2016.

Reynolds joined the Mets for 47 games in 2016. He had 20 hits and a .225 batting average. Defensively, he played 4 games at second base, 7 games at third base, 21 games at shortstop, and 1 game in left field.

In 2017, Reynolds batted .230 in 68 games with the Mets. Defensively he played 3 games at first base, 8 games at second base, 23 games at third base, 10 games at shortstop, 7 games in left field, and 1 game in right field.

The Mets traded Reynolds to the Washington Nationals on February 12, 2018. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, playing in just 12 games with the Nationals.
