Mike Morin, relief pitcher for the Miami Marlins, was a top player at the University of North Carolina. He holds the Atlantic Coast Conference record for the most saves in a single season.

Morin was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2009 but he choose instead to play for the University of North Carolina. Three years later, he signed with the Los Angeles Angels. He played in the Angels' minor league system for just two years (2012, 2013).

Morin joined the Angels' bullpen in 2014, pitching in 60 games. He finished the season with a 2.90 ERA and 4 wins to 4 losses in 59.0 innings. In 2015, he pitched 35.1 innings in 47 games and he had a 6.37 ERA.

Morin finished the 2016 season with a 4.37 ERA in 60 games with the Angels. He had 2 wins to 2 losses and 49 strikeouts to 15 walks in 55.2 innings.

Morin was claimed off waivers by the Royals on September 12, 2017. He spent half of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching in just 10 games with the Angels and 6 games with the Royals. He finished with a 7.20 ERA.

The Seattle Mariners claimed Morin off waivers on December 8, 2017. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, playing in just 3 games with the Mariners.

Morin became a free agent on October 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on December 20, 2018. The Twins traded Morin to the Philadelphia Phillies on July 20, 2019. He finished the 2019 season with 1 win and 3 losses, 26 strikeouts to 10 walks, and a 4.62 ERA in 50.2 innings in 23 games with the Twins and 29 games with the Phillies.

Morin became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on January 31, 2020. The Marlins claimed him off waivers on July 28, 2020. He pitched just 4.0 innings in 3 games with the Marlins. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

Morin didn't play in 2021.
