Nick Tropeano, pitcher, was a top player at Stony Brook University when he was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2011. After four years in the Astros' minor league system, he was traded to the Los Angeles Angels on November 5, 2014.

Tropeano pitched in the minor leagues from 2011 through most of 2015. He finished with a 3.49 ERA, a 34-31 win-loss record, and 581 strikeouts to 177 walks in 564.2 innings in 108 games.

Tropeano pitched 21.2 innings in four games with the Astros in 2014.

In 2015, Tropeano pitched 37.2 innings in eight games with the Angels.

Tropeano spent time on the DL in 2016, limiting his playing time to 13 games with the Angels. He finished the season with a 3.56 ERA, 3 wins to 2 losses, and 68 strikeouts to 31 walks in 68.1 innings.

Tropeano spent the 2017 season on the DL. He spent time on the DL again in 2018, this time with right shoulder inflammation. He finished the season with 5 wins and 6 losses, 64 strikeouts to 31 walks, and a 4.74 ERA in 76.0 innings in 14 games.

Tropeano spent most of the 2019 season in the minors, pitching just 13.2 innings in 3 games with the Angels.

Tropeano became a free agent on October 28, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees on February 3, 2020. The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed him off waivers on August 11, 2020. He pitched in 7 games with the Pirates and he had a 1.15 ERA in 15.2 innings.

The New York Mets claimed Tropeano off waivers on October 30, 2020. A little more than a month later, on December 2nd, he elected free agency. He signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on February 17, 2021. The Mets claimed him off waivers again on June 11, 2021. He elected free agency on August 2nd, and five days later, he signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He finished the 2021 season with a 2.25 ERA in 8.0 innings in 4 games with the Giants and 1 game with the Mets. He didn't play with the Dodgers.

Tropeano became a free agent again on November 7, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on January 26, 2022. He was released on June 1st.
