Nick Vincent, relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, was first drafted by the San Diego Padres in 2008. He pitched in the Padres' minor league system from 2008 through half of 2012.

Vincent split his time in 2012 between the minors and the Padres. Pitching out of the Padres' bullpen, he pitched 26.1 innings in 27 games and he had a career low ERA of 1.71. The following season, he pitched 46.1 innings in 45 games and he had a 2.14 ERA. He also pitched in 24 games in the minors in 2013.

Vincent had a full season with the Padres in 2014, pitching in a career high 63 games. He finished the season with a 3.60 ERA and 62 strikeouts to just 11 walks in 55.0 innings. He spent a good part of the 2015 season back in the minors, pitching in 26 games with the Padres and in 40 games in the minor leagues. In his time with the Padres, he pitched 23.0 innings and he had a 2.35 ERA.

The Padres traded Vincent to the Seattle Mariners on March 30, 2016. He finished the 2016 season with a 3.73 ERA, 4 wins and 4 losses, 3 saves, and 65 strikeouts to 15 walks in 60.1 innings in 60 games.

Vincent finished the 2017 season with 3 wins and 3 losses, 50 strikeouts to 13 walks, and a 3.20 ERA in 64.2 innings in 69 games.

In 2018, Vincent pitched 56.1 innings in 62 games. He had 4 wins and 4 losses, 56 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a 3.99 ERA.

Vincent became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on March 1, 2019. He was released on August 2, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on August 10th. He spent time on the DL in 2019 with a right pectoralis strain. He finished the season with 1 win and 4 losses, 47 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a 4.43 ERA in 18 games with the Giants and 14 games with the Phillies.

Vincent became a free agent on October 31, 2019. He returned to the Giants on February 9, 2020, on a minor league contract. The Giants released him on June 25, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins on June 29th.

Vincent elected free agency on October 28, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on February 4, 2021. He was released on March 27th. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on June 23rd. He spent most of the 2021 season in the minors, pitching just 12.2 innings in 7 games with the Twins.

Vincent became a free agent on November 7, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves on March 16, 2022. He was released on June 20th. He signed a minor league contract with the Tigers on July 7th.
