Paul Janish, retired infielder, was first drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2004. He played in the Reds' minor league system from 2004 through most of 2008, joining the Reds for 38 games in 2008.

Janish played in 90 games with the Reds in 2009. He batted .211 with 54 hits and a career high 21 doubles. The following season, he batted .260 with 52 hits and 25 RBIs in 82 games. In 2011, he had a career high 72 hits and a .214 batting average in a career high 114 games.

The Reds traded Janish to the Atlanta Braves on July 14, 2012. He spent the first half of the 2012 season in the minors (49 games) and the second half with the Braves (55 games). In 2013, his time was again split between the minors and the Braves. In 52 games with the Braves, he batted .171 with just seven hits.

In January, 2014, Janish signed with the Colorado Rockies. After playing in the Rockies' minor league system for a few months, he was released on July 1, 2014. Three days later, he signed with the Kansas City Royals. He spent the entire 2014 season in the minors.

Janish signed with the Baltimore Orioles on November 20, 2014. He spent most of the 2015 season again in the minors, playing in just 14 games with the Orioles. In 2016, he again spent most of the season in the minors and played in 14 games with the Orioles.

The Orioles released Janish on August 21, 2017. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 14 games with the Orioles.

Janish retired in August, 2017.
