Pedro Baez, relief pitcher, signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007. He started as a third baseman and played that position in the minor leagues from 2007 through 2012. In 2013, he became a pitcher and he pitched as a relief pitcher in the minors from 2013 through part of 2014.

Baez joined the Dodgers' bullpen in 2014, pitching 24.0 innings in 20 games. He finished with a 2.63 ERA. That year, he also pitched in 40 games in the minors. In 2015, he again pitched out of the Dodgers' bullpen. He finished the season with a 3.35 ERA and 60 strikeouts to 11 walks in 51.0 innings in 52 games.
