Taylor Motter, outfielder for the Seattle Mariners, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011. He played in the Rays' minor league system from 2011 through 2015. He batted .281 with 458 hits, 108 doubles, 108 stolen bases, 217 RBIs, and 286 strikeouts to 199 walks in 465 games. Defensively, he played 44 games at second base, 86 games at third base, 52 games at shortstop, 74 games in left field, 29 games in center field, and 160 games in right field.

Motter joined the Rays for 34 games in 2016. He batted .188 with 15 hits.

Motter was traded to the Mariners on November 18, 2016.
