Tomas Telis, catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, first signed with the Texas Rangers in 2007. He was traded to the Miami Marlins on July 31, 2015. He played in the minor leagues from 2008 through most of 2016.

Telis joined the Rangers for 18 games in 2014. He had 17 hits, including 2 doubles. In 2015, he played in 6 games with the Rangers and 17 games with the Marlins and he had just 6 hits.

Telis played in just 10 games with the Marlins in 2016. He spent the rest of the season in the minors.

Telis played in 48 games with the Marlins in 2017. He spent the rest of the season in the minors. He was again mostly in the minors in 2018, playing in just 23 games with the Marlins.

Telis became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on January 10, 2019. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Telis played in the Venezuelan Winter League and the Caribbean Series in 2020. He played in the minors and the Venezuelan Winter League in 2021.

Telis became a free agent on November 7, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on December 9th.
