Travis Jankowski, outfielder for the Texas Rangers, was a top player at Stony Brook University. In 2012, he was named the American East Player of the Year. That same year, he was drafted by the San Diego Padres. He played in the Padres' minor league system from 2012 through part of 2015. In 326 games, he batted .293 with 376 hits, 137 stolen bases, 105 RBIs, and 214 strikeouts to 134 walks. Defensively, as a center fielder, he made 800 putouts and 10 errors in 306 games.

Jankowski played in 34 games with the Padres in 2015. He batted .211 with 19 hits, 2 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 home runs. Defensively, he played 23 games in center field and 11 games in right field.

In 2016, his first full season in the majors, Jankowski batted .245 in 131 games with the Padres. He finished the season with 82 hits, 13 doubles, and 30 stolen bases. Defensively, as the Padres' center fielder in 87 games, he made 193 putouts and no errors.

Jankowski spent time in the minors in 2017, playing in just 27 games with the Padres.

Jankowski elected free agency on November 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on February 12, 2021. He spent time on the IL in 2021. He finished the season with 33 hits and a .252 batting average in 76 games.

Jankowski became a free agent on November 5, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets on March 17, 2022. The Seattle Mariners claimed him off waivers on August 1st, and they released him on August 10th. The Mets then signed him to a new minor league contract on August 16th.

Jankowski became a free agent on November 10, 2022. He signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on January 27, 2023.
