Trevor Story, infielder for the Colorado Rockies, was drafted by the Rockies in 2011. He played in the Rockies' minor league system from 2011 through 2015. In 537 games, he batted .263 with 543 hits, 151 doubles, 96 stolen bases, 284 RBIs, and 630 strikeouts to 242 walks. Defensively, as a shortstop, he made 1,197 assists, 256 double plays, 604 putouts, and 88 errors in 409 games.

Story made baseball history in his first six games in the major leagues in 2016. He became the first MLB player to hit seven home runs in his first six major league games. He finished the season with 101 hits, 21 doubles, 27 home runs, 72 RBIs, and a .272 batting average in 97 games. Defensively, as the Rockies' shortstop in 96 games, he made 293 assists, 64 double plays, 139 putouts, and 10 errors. He missed half of the season with a thumb injury.
