Tyler Duffey, pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, was a top player at Rice University when he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2012. He played in the Twins' minor league system from 2012 through part of 2015. In 83 games, he pitched 427.1 innings and he had a 29-18 record, 353 strikeouts to 85 walks, and a 3.20 ERA.

Duffey pitched in 10 games with the Twins in 2015. He had a 5-1 record and a 3.10 ERA in 58.0 innings.
