Tyler Goeddel, outfielder, was first drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011. He played in the Rays' minor league system from 2012 through 2015. In 451 games, he batted .262 with 439 hits, 108 stolen bases, 244 RBIs, and 388 strikeouts to 172 walks. Defensively, as a third baseman, he made 612 assists, 209 putouts, and 87 errors in 293 games.

Goeddel was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies on December 10, 2015. He finished the 2016 season with 41 hits and a .192 batting average in 92 games with the Phillies. Defensively, as a left fielder in 69 games, he made 75 putouts and 3 errors.

The Phillies designated Goeddel for assignment on March 31, 2017. The Cincinnati Reds claimed him off waivers on April 5, 2017. He spent the 2017 season in the minors.

The Reds released Goeddel on May 14, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 17th. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Goeddel became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on March 13, 2019. He was released on July 13th. He played only in the minors in 2019.

Goeddel didn't play professional baseball in 2020 and 2021.

Personal Life

Goeddel's brother Erik is a relief pitcher who was drafted by the New York Mets in 2010.
