Bruce Maxwell, catcher, was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2012. He played in their minor league system from 2012 through 2015.
In 2016, Maxwell joined the Athletics for 33 games. During that time, he had 26 hits, 24 strikeouts to 8 walks, and a .283 batting average. Defensively, as a catcher in 29 games, he made 9 assists, 178 putouts, and 1 error. He also played in 60 games in the minors in 2016.
