Bruce Rondon, relief pitcher, was signed by the Detroit Tigers in September, 2007. He spent the 2008 season in the Venezuelan Summer League. He pitched in the Tigers' minor league system from 2009 through 2012.

Rondon split his time in 2013 between the Tigers and the minor leagues. In 30 games with the Tigers, he pitched 28.2 innings and he had a 3.45 ERA, 1 win and 2 losses, 1 save, and 30 strikeouts to 11 walks.

Rondon had Tommy John surgery in March, 2014, and he missed the entire 2014 season. He spent part of the 2015 season on the DL. He finished the season with a 5.81 ERA in 35 games with the Tigers.

In 2016, Rondon pitched in 37 games with the Tigers. He finished the season with 5 wins and 2 losses, 45 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a 2.97 ERA in 36.1 innings.

Rondon finished the 2017 season with 1 win and 3 losses, 1 save, 22 strikeouts to 10 walks, and a 10.91 ERA in 15.2 innings in 21 games.

Rondon became a free agent on December 1, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox on February 8, 2018. He finished the 2018 season with 2 wins and 3 losses, 40 strikeouts to 27 walks, and a 8.49 ERA in 29.2 innings in 35 games. He elected free agency on July 17, 2018.

Rondon played in the Venezuelan Winter League in 2019, 2020, and 2021. He also played in the Caribbean Series in 2021.
