Bryan Mitchell, starting pitcher for the Miami Marlins, was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2009. He played in the Yankees' minor league system from 2010 through most of 2014, pitching in just 3 games with the Yankees in 2014.

In 2015, Mitchell pitched in 20 games with the Yankees. He had no wins and 2 losses, 1 save, 29 strikeouts to 16 walks, and a 6.37 ERA in 29.2 innings. He also pitched as a starting pitcher in 15 games in the minors.

Mitchell spent most of the 2016 season on the DL with a toe injury. He pitched in 5 games from the Yankees' starting rotation and he had 1 win and 2 losses, 11 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a 3.24 ERA in 25.0 innings.

Mitchell spent much of the 2017 season in the minors. He pitched 32.2 innings in 20 games with the Yankees and he had a 5.79 ERA. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

Mitchell signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on January 20, 2021. He was released by the Phillies on July 22, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Marlins on July 29th. He spent most of the 2021 season in the minors, playing in just 2 games with the Marlins.
