Chris Hatcher, relief pitcher, was first drafted in 2006 by the Miami Marlins. He pitched in the Marlins' minor league system from 2009 through most of 2013.
Hatcher first joined the Marlins in 2011. He had limited playing time with them from 2011 through 2013, pitching in 11 games in 2011 and 2012 and in 7 games in 2013. He pitched in a career high 52 games in 2014. He finished the season with no wins and 3 losses, 60 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a 3.38 ERA in a career high 56.0 innings.
The Marlins traded Hatcher to the Los Angeles Dodgers on December 11, 2014. He spent time on the DL with an oblique strain in 2015. He finished the season with a 3.69 ERA and 4 saves in 39.0 innings in 49 games.
Hatcher was again on the DL in 2016 with an oblique strain. In 37 games, he had 5 wins and 4 losses, 43 strikeouts to 21 walks, and a 5.53 ERA in 40.2 innings. He didn't pitch in the postseason.
On December 1, 2016, Hatcher signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Dodgers. He was traded to the Oakland Athletics on August 15, 2017. He finished the 2017 season with 1 win and 2 losses, 1 save, 63 strikeouts to 21 walks, and a 4.22 ERA in 26 games with the Dodgers and 23 games with the Athletics.
Hatcher pitched in 34 games with the Athletics in 2018. He had 3 wins and 3 losses, 30 strikeouts to 17 walks, and a 4.95 ERA in 36.1 innings.
Hatcher became a free agent on October 15, 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
