Daniel Robertson, infielder for the Philadelphia Phillies, was first drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2012. After playing in the Athletics' minor league system for three seasons, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on January 10, 2015.

Robertson played in 75 games with the Rays in 2017. He finished the season with 45 hits and a .206 batting average. Defensively, he played 41 games at second base, 17 games at third base, 24 games at shortstop, and 1 game in left field.

Robertson spent time on the DL in 2018. In 87 games with the Rays, he had 74 hits, 16 doubles, 34 RBIs, 77 strikeouts to 43 walks, and a .262 batting average. Defensively, he played at all infield positions and in left field. He also pitched in one game.

Robertson was again on the DL in 2019, with right knee inflammation. He finished the season with 44 hits, 59 strikeouts to 24 walks, and a .213 batting average in 74 games. Defensively, he played 26 games at second base, 43 games at third base, and 16 games at shortstop. He pitched in one game. He didn't play in the postseason.

The Rays traded Robertson to the San Francisco Giants on August 23, 2020. He played in just 13 games in 2020.

Robertson became a free agent on December 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on January 22, 2021. He spent time on the IL in 2021. He finished the season with a .164 batting average in 50 games with the Brewers.

Robertson became a free agent again on November 7, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on February 9, 2022. He was traded to the Phillies on June 20th.
