Dan Vogelbach, designated hitter for the New York Mets, was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2011. He played in the Cubs' minor league system from 2011 through 2015.

Vogelbach was traded to the Seattle Mariners on July 20, 2016. He spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, joining the Mariners for just 8 games.

Vogelbach spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 16 games with the Mariners. He was again primarily in the minors in 2018. In 37 games with the Mariners, he had a .207 batting average.

Vogelbach finished the 2019 season with 96 hits, 17 doubles, 30 home runs, 76 RBIs, 149 strikeouts to 92 walks, and a .208 batting average in 144 games. He played 57 games at first base and 81 games as a DH.

The Mariners traded Vogelbach to the Toronto Blue Jays on August 24, 2020. The Milwaukee Brewers claimed him off waivers on September 3rd. He finished the 2020 season with 24 hits and a .209 batting average in 18 games with the Mariners, 2 games with the Blue Jays, and 19 games with the Brewers. He played in 2 games in the postseason and he had a double in 5 at-bats.

Vogelbach spent time on the IL in 2021 with a hamstring strain. He finished the season with 47 hits and a .219 batting average in 93 games. In the postseason, he had no hits in 1 at-bat.

Vogelbach became a free agent on November 30, 2021. He signed with the Pirates on March 15, 2022. He was traded to the Mets on July 22nd.
