Destin Hood, outfielder, was first drafted in 2008 by the Washington Nationals. He played in the Nationals' minor league system from 2008 through 2014.
Hood became a free agent on November 4, 2014. A month later, on December 2nd, he signed with the Cleveland Indians. After half a season in the Indians' minor league system, he was released on July 14, 2015. Three days later, he signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. He spent the rest of the season in the minors.
Hood became a free agent again on November 6, 2015. He signed with the Miami Marlins six days later. In 2016, he played in 13 games with the Marlins, batting .240 with 6 hits in 25 at-bats. He spent the rest of the season in the minors.
Hood spent the entire 2017 season in the minors. He elected free agency on November 6, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on January 4, 2018. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.
Hood became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He played in the independent Atlantic League in 2019. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2019.
