Dominic Leone, relief pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, played at Clemson University before being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2012. He played in the Mariners' minor league system in 2012 and 2013.
In 2014, Leone pitched only in the major leagues, playing in 57 games with the Mariners. He finished the season with 8 wins to 2 losses, 70 strikeouts to 25 walks, and a 2.17 ERA in 66.1 innings.
Leone was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 3, 2015. He finished the season with an 8.40 ERA in 10 games with the Mariners and 3 games with the Diamondbacks. He spent time on the DL, as well as pitching in 27 games in the minors.
