Evan Marshall, relief pitcher, was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011. He pitched in their minor league system from 2011 through 2013.

Marshall pitched in 57 games with the Diamondbacks in 2014. He finished the season with 4 wins to 4 losses, 54 strikeouts to 17 walks, and a 2.74 ERA in 49.1 innings. The following season, he spent time on the DL with a skull fracture after being hit in the head by a batted ball on August 7th. He finished the 2015 season with a 6.08 ERA in 13.1 innings in 13 games.

In 2016, Marshall again spent time on the DL. He finished the season with an 8.80 ERA in 15.1 innings in 15 games. He also played in 33 games in the minors.

The Seattle Mariners claimed Marshall off waivers on April 4, 2017. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 7.2 innings in 6 games with the Mariners.

Marshall signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on November 30, 2017. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors and on the DL with right elbow inflammation. In 10 games with the Indians, he had a 7.71 ERA in 7.0 innings.

Marshall became a free agent on October 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox on October 30th. He finished the 2019 season with 4 wins and 2 losses, 41 strikeouts to 24 walks, and a 2.49 ERA in 50.2 innings in 55 games.

Marshall pitched in 23 games in 2020. He finished the season with 2 wins and 1 loss, 30 strikeouts to 7 walks, and a 2.38 ERA in 22.2 innings. In the postseason, he pitched 2.2 innings in 2 games, and he gave up 3 hits and 2 runs.

Marshall spent time on the IL in 2021 with a right flexor pronator strain. He finished the season with no wins and 2 losses, 26 strikeouts to 9 walks, and a 5.60 ERA in 27.1 innings in 27 games.

Marshall became a free agent on November 5, 2021.
